Our Office manager, Carly is heading off to Adelaide this weekend to be Matron of Honour for her good friend. Unfortunately, today it has become a little more apparent that the bride’s mother will not be able to make the flight from England due to the volcanic ash covering Europe. However, the bride is still hanging onto the hope that her mother will be there as she says I-do to the man of her dreams. We are sending Aileen our thoughts. We know this is only one of many weddings that will be affected by the devastating ash. TIP: If you have relatives or friends that can’t make the day (due to flight cancellations), ensure that all the best bits of the wedding are filmed and a special mention is made to them in the speeches, then send them a copy of the DVD with their bombonniere. This way your absentees will still feel like they were a special part of your day.
So sad. Makes my worries about it raining on my wedding day seem pretty insignificant.
