Fairy Tale Wedding Fashion

When I was a kid, my favourite movie was Aladdin. Princess Jasmine was so beautiful. I loved her independant spirit and the fact that there was a Disney princess that had long dark hair, just like me. Every girl dreams of a fairy tale wedding day with her Prince Charming and the perfect gown. Dream-team Alfred Angelo and Disney are making magic together, recently releasing their first collaboration: breathtaking gowns for the princess bride.

The collection is inspired by the essense, style and personality of seven iconic Disney princesses: Ariel, Belle, Cinderella, Jasmine, Sleeping Beauty's Aurora, Snow White and the newest addition, Tiana (of The Princess and The Frog.)

Ariel - inspired by the treasures of the sea. The mermaid silhouette features re-embroidered lace, pearl beading and sparkling sequins.
Belle - the draped waistline gown was inspired by the iconic ballroom dance scene from the film. Graceful and grand.
Cinderella - inspired by the fairy tale's enchanted glass slipper, this pretty, playful strapless gown radiates magic and sparkle. For the unexpected princess.
Jasmine - a shimmering soft satin gown, with a bejewelled neckline and low-cut back. Exotic and individual.
Aurora/Sleeping Beauty - inspired by the slumbering princess, this gown is dreamy and romantic. Perfect for that first kiss from Prince Charming.
Snow White - inspired by nature, beauty and grace. This wintery white ballgown exudes simple elegance with a touch of fairy tale glamour.
Tiana - a regal, one-shoulder taffeta gown reflects an independant spirit. Fit for royalty, the rouched skirt and asymmetric bodice add a touch of drama.
Get a sneaky peek at behind-the-scenes footage of the gowns from Disney Living.

  1. What a cool idea - I always loved Ariel. Ok, I admit a few practices of 'Part of that World' in the shower!!! Beautiful dresses, but I think some of the models should look more like the Disney characters.
