Hunter Valley wedding? New mag hitting the shelves this week

The latest Newcastle and Central Coast Wedding magazine is on it's way! It is due to hit the shelves next week. For couples in the area and for those planning a romantic weddingmoon or wedding away, this magazine has all the suppliers plus great tips on planning your wedding.
There is nothing quite like a country wedding and in the Hunter Valley, brides are spoilt for choice. A wedding among the vines is a truly unique experience, and one that is offered by many of the stylish wineries of the Hunter. Service standards there are widely considered to be of a higher benchmark than those in bigger cities, and the food is simply to die for. If a Hunter wedding is on your shortlist then take a drive through the vines and visit some of the wineries, resorts, hotels and guesthouses. If you don't have time to visit the area, flick through the magazine, do some research on the internet and contact the visitors bureau. But remember that nothing beats actually visiting your planned destination, and now that you have the perfect excuse, it's time to book that romantic weekend of 'research'.

Great theming help

I came across this snazzy theming tool. You can pick any colour and it will give you a suggestion of what colours will complement your choice and what it could look like. We love this! Have a squiz of Preston Bailey's colour story.

Biggest 2010 wedding setback

Our Office manager, Carly is heading off to Adelaide this weekend to be Matron of Honour for her good friend. Unfortunately, today it has become a little more apparent that the bride’s mother will not be able to make the flight from England due to the volcanic ash covering Europe. However, the bride is still hanging onto the hope that her mother will be there as she says I-do to the man of her dreams. We are sending Aileen our thoughts.

We know this is only one of many weddings that will be affected by the devastating ash. If you are one of those unlucky couples, you must read this great article about how a couple missed their own wedding yet still managed to have a romantic day they can tell their grandkids about. Brisbane couple planning to celebrate with friends in London missed their wedding and had a civil ceremony from their hotel in Dubai as their London guests watched over the Internet.

To all those couples affected by the ash, we hope you can overcome the setbacks and have an amazing day. Remember if you and your husband-to-be are there – then you will still be getting married and that will certainly be a wonderful day.

TIP: If you have relatives or friends that can’t make the day (due to flight cancellations), ensure that all the best bits of the wedding are filmed and a special mention is made to them in the speeches, then send them a copy of the DVD with their bombonniere. This way your absentees will still feel like they were a special part of your day.
