Inspiration Boards

Today's brides are so into scrapbooking their wedding - whether it be the traditional cut-and-paste paper method or a high-tech online version. It doesn't need to be complicated or overly intricate but creating your own inspiration board is a terrific way to get an overall feel for the design of your wedding elements. It helps you to coordinate all the bits and pieces, especially colour schemes, and gives you a bird's eye view of the look and feel.

Here are a few examples to get your creative juices flowing:

Your photo on a rose!

I just discovered these personalised roses and rose petals. I'm not sure if I love them or hate them...on one hand they are so original and on the other hand so, so tacky! Certainly a different idea. They are available in the UK and USA - wonder whether any Australian florists will take up the challenge?

Woman gives USB wedding ring to nerdy fiance

We love it! The wife-to-be of a Microsoft Game developer had a USB wedding ring made for her fiance. The ring is not an actual working USB but rather a model made in gold and incorporated into the wedding band. The interior is engraved with the words "For a lifetime of memories" signifying the memory capabilities of the USB drive.
This is an ultimate celebration of her lover's geekiness, which she doesn't share.
Check out the whole story on SMH.com.au
Following this article mashable.com (who originally posted the romantic story) have put out a top 10 geeky proposals - it well worth a look!
Was your proposal geeky? We would love to hear your stories too!
